

I recently pulled the black open coil pickups out to put chrome covers on them and I noticed Super 70 imprinted on the bottom plate. It's also limited to only 180 units for all of North America, so don't pass up on this beauty.

I just bought a black Ibanez Les Paul Custom w/bolt-on (not sure what year yet). Combined with Grover Kidney tuning machines and '57 and '57 Classic Plus pickups with machine wound coil wiring, the Flying V History Electric Guitar is ideal for rock and blues. One of the pickups has been changed to a Dimarzio with a hot toggle. This was their copy of the Gibson Korina Flying V from 1958. One set is the zebra exposed coils in my Flying V, the others came out of an LP (can't remember which model though). This is a 1976 Ibanez Rocket Roll Sr., from 1976. I actually have 2 sets of super 70s without the imprint, just the 5 digit serial. I know iam kinda late on the remark so plzz forgive me.you can find it on the under-side of the pick-up.if i was gonna bet.i'd say super 70's all the way The body is made of ash, the finish is African Korina. Mine is a F78 model, so one of the last made. OK, thanks, I'll check it next string change. The 2387 CT is a copy of the ’58 Gibson Flying V and was produced from about 1973 1978. Not really sure how old it is.could be earlier. Ibanez made a better and more faithful copy of the famous and rare guitar- limed mahogany finish, shape, the rubber grip strip, etc.- than Gibson made when it tried to re-introduce the Flying V in 1975. And today I discovered something interesting. I recently did some research on Ibanez electric basses. A vintage circa mid-1970s Ibanez Flying V style electric guitar with case. The Ibanez Flying V electric guitar was the instrument that brought the fight to a head. Hope there are a few Ibanez players here. I believe, that -78 Super 70s have the "Super70" text stamped on the bottom plate. IBZ Flying V.this is a 'Law Suit' guitar knock IBZ Flying V.this is a 'Law Suit' guitar knock off of the Gibson. Hi all, I'm new to this nice site, I have a very nice '78 tobacco sunburst bolt on LP and I'm wondering if there is any sure way to id the pickups, by serial numbers, logos etc. Ibanez Collectors World: Super 70 Identification help needed
